ECTOR COUNTY, Texas — Ector County Sheriff Mike Griffis tells NewsWest 9 that an investigation is underway after a person died in an accidental RV fire.
According to ECSO, at 12:07 a.m. on Friday, deputies were dispatched to 2267 South County Rd. in reference to an RV fire.
When deputies arrived, the RV was engulfed in flames.
Sheriff Griffis said once the fire was extinguished, ECSO learned that someone died in the fire.
According to ECSO, the fire was caused accidentally.
ECSO has not identified the deceased at this time.
An investigation is ongoing and NewsWest 9 will update this story once more information is provided.
