RV catches fire in Midland Saturday night

The RV was considered a complete loss once it was put out.

MIDLAND, Texas — A fire broke out in an RV park in Midland over the weekend. 

At around 9 p.m. Saturday, the Midland Fire Department responded to a fire at TC's RV Park, which is around the intersection of County Roads 114 and 1202. 

According to the City of Midland, an RV in the park caught fire and after it was put out by firefighters, it was determined to be a complete loss. There were no injuries, one person was displaced, and the red cross was notified. 

According to fire department officials, "popping noises were heard when they arrived," but the reason for the noises could not be confirmed. Fire department officials also said that the popping noises stopped within minutes.   

We still do not know what exactly caused the fire, but we'll keep you updated here on NewsWest 9 once we learn more. 

A second fire happened around 10:30 a.m. Sunday on CR 38. According to the City of Midland, the fire departments reported an unoccupied structure fully involved when firefighters responded. It was a complete loss.
