Odessa man, charged in relation to Jan. 24 fatal crash, arrested on new charges

25-year-old Jose Armando Gonzalez was charged on Wednesday with theft of property, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

ODESSA, Texas — 25-year-old Jose Armando Gonzalez, arrested in relation to a car-pedestrian crash in Odessa on Jan. 24 that killed 50-year-old Bracia Paige, has been arrested on new charges.

According to an Odessa arrest report obtained by NewsWest 9, on Wednesday, July 17, Gonzalez was arrested for theft of property, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Below is his new bonds, according to Ector County jail records:

  • Criminal negligent homicide (Jan. 24) - $30,000
  • Possession of meth (April 25) - $16,000
  • Theft of property - No bond
  • Possession of a controlled substance - No bond
  • Possession of drug paraphernalia - $326
