Howard College unveils restored Music Building

The Paul B. Adams Family Music Building was originally built in 1957 and has now undergone a new renovation.

HOWARD COUNTY, Texas — Howard College unveiled the restored Paul B. Adams Family Music Building on Wednesday.

The dedication and ribbon-cutting ceremony unveiled the building that was originally built in 1957 and is seen as "a cornerstone of musical development".

The renovation was made possible by Carol Adams in memory of her family. The building will pay homage to Paul B. Adams, who served as a member of the Howard College Board of Trustees from 1956 to 1973.

It will stand as a "testament to his commitment to music, education, and the community".

Classrooms, a rehearsal hall and a piano studio will also be named after other members of the Adams family. Rooms within the building are named in honor of historical Howard County pianos teachers.
