BIG SPRING - Two Fed-Ex trailers being hauled by a semi ended up flying off an overpass in Big Spring.
Authorities say the 18-wheeler was driving down Interstate 20 when an SUV tried to merge into traffic.
The SUV ended up hitting the back of one of the Fed-Ex trailers.
The impact caused the semi to cross traffic and hit a car head on before flying over the bridge.
The man in the car that was hit head-on was taken to the hospital.
Friends say he had several broken bones.
