29-year-old man dead after rollover crash in Andrews County

ANDREWS COUNTY, Texas — On May 12, at 1:38 p.m., a fatal accident occurred in Andrews County at the intersection of SH 115 and SW CR 4501, according to a press release from the Texas Department of Public Safety. 

The crash involved a single vehicle, a 2014 Jeep Wrangler, that was driven by 29-year-old Esequiel David Roman. It was reported that Roman was not wearing a seatbelt and was pronounced dead at the scene. 

The release further stated that the Jeep was traveling eastbound on SH 115 when it veered off the road. In an attempt to regain control, Roman overcorrected, leading the vehicle to side-skid and subsequently roll over after striking a fence in the north barrow ditch. 

The incident remains under investigation.
