BIG SPRING – It's official.
Big Spring is the Lighted Poinsettia Capital of Texas.
And to show off their new title, the City is putting large lighted poinsettias under the water tower on I-20.
They got their title thanks to the Comanche Trail Festival of Lights, their annual light festival during the Christmas holiday.
By adding this new twist and title, the Chamber of Commerce hopes this will help catch the eyes of people passing through.
"People in the community seem to be excited about it. We hope that it draws more people to big spring," Debbie Wegman with the Big Spring Chamber of Commerce, said.
