Camryn Leal graduated from Texas State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Electronic Media.
During her studies, she interned at KXAN-TV in Austin, Texas, where she focused on a long-form digital story project about Latina entrepreneurship in the Austin metropolitan area, reflecting her passion for the community.
In her free time, Leal enjoys running, hiking and spending time with family and friends.
Leal will be taking over NewsWest 9's Basin's Unsolved series.
She is excited to join the team and looks forward to covering the Permian Basin.
