Jenna Elique joined the NewsWest 9 team in July of 2022 as a Sports Anchor/Multi-Skilled Journalist from Coral Springs, Florida.
She graduated from Syracuse University with a Bachelor of Science in Broadcast and Digital Journalism with minors in Sport Analytics and Spanish.
During her time at Syracuse, Jenna was an active member of several media organizations. She called play-by-play, hosted studio shows and produced live shows for both radio and TV during her time at SU with her campus radio station, WAER, and ESPN's ACC Network.
In addition, Jenna was chosen to represent her school as one of a handful of students selected to cover SuperBowl LV in Tampa and Super Bowl LVI in Los Angeles. While there, she hosted a live radio show from Radio Row, interviewed coaches and players and told stories of the NFL's biggest game.
When she's not working, she enjoys watching sports, mainly the Raiders and any Syracuse game, hanging out with friends and keeping up on the latest music, movies and TV shows.
Jenna is excited to get to know the student-athletes and coaches that make covering the Permian Basin special.
