MIDLAND, Texas — H-E-B is kicking off the holiday season in Midland with their 21st annual "H-E-B Feast of Sharing" celebration.
On Friday, Midland residents will give thanks together and share a meal during the dinner.
H-E-B and community employees will serve a free meal to more than 8,000 people at The Horseshoe Pavilion.
The event is open to the public and will include live music, entertainment, family-friendly activities, community services and fellowship with the community.
Food will be a "Texas-style holiday meal filled with all the fixings Texans enjoy for any celebration".
The H-E-B Pharmacy team will also provide free flu shots while supplies last.
There will be free transportation to and from the free event provided by a partnership between EZ-rider and H-E-B.

Doors will open at 3:30 p.m. with meal service beginning at 4 p.m. and continuing until 8 p.m. at the Horseshoe Pavilion.
