MIDLAND, Texas — Midland is currently getting a head start on the Easter celebration by hosting two events Thursday.
On Thursday, March 28 the Easter Bunny came to visit kids at the Library at the Plaza in Downtown Midland.
The children had the chance to read Easter theme stories, and even got to meet the Easter Bunny.
The event had a big turnout.
Monahans also got a head start on Thursday for this Easter. The families had their annual Easter egg hunt where more than 30,000 eggs were used for the kids Easter egg hunt event.
The event even gave out free hamburgers and hotdogs for families to enjoy.
If you missed these events, no worries because more events will be taking place over the weekend in Midland, Odessa, Big Spring and Pecos.
In Midland at the Downtown Farmers Market on Saturday, there will be an Easter event from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. with activities like face painting and pictures with the Easter Bunny for kids.
Also, the Methodist Church will be hosting an Easter bash from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. for kids to enjoy face painting, an Easter egg hunt and more. The event will be happening at Pioneer Park located at 2001 Lindora Way
On Saturday, Odessa will be hosting an Easter egg hunt with games, food, arts and crafts and the Easter Bunny from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Sherwood Park located at 4819 N Everglade Ave.
On Friday in Big Spring, there will be a community Easter egg hunt at 2 p.m. at Parkview Skilled Care Rehab Center located at 3200 Parkway Rd. They will be providing food, pictures with the Easter Bunny and an Easter egg hunt for the kids.
Lastly, there will be an event in Pecos this weekend.
On Saturday, March 30, there will be the World Auto Chevrolet GMC Easter event from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. with food vendors, jumpers and more for the family.
