MIDLAND, Texas — The Midland Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (MHCC) celebrated 40 years Thursday night.
They honored the past, present and future at the Bush Convention Center with special guests, comedians Paul Rodriguez and Alex Reymundo.
MHCC also gave out a handful of awards to highlight the achievements they made this year.
"I love it, I love the turnout. As we we're planning this event we were like 'I wonder if people are gonna go with the theme? I wonder if they're gonna be shy?' So we're super excited to see everyone with their facepaint," said Savannah Morales, CEO of MHCC. "It's beautiful to see our culture. I talk about our culture so much to our children and to the community because we don't want our culture to die because our culture is so beautiful. The colors it brings, the food that we cook, the community that we have."
