TCU leaders coming to Midland for Riff Ram Road Show

Along with the show announcement, TCU also said they are naming their new Football Performance Center after two Midland natives, Mike and Brenda Harrison.

MIDLAND, Texas — Leaders at Texas Christian University are visiting Midland on Sept. 10 for the Riff Ram Road Show, according to a TCU press release.

Those TCU leaders are Chancellor Victor J. Boschini Jr., President Daniel W. Pullin and Vice Provost for Enrollment Management, Heath Einstein. They will talk about updates to TCU's strategic plan, economic impact and its leadership in academic innovation, athletics and student experience.

According to the release, TCU generated $2.1 billion in economic impact in FY23 which had strong ties to local communities like Midland.

Below are TCU's Key Statewide Contributions outlined in the press release:

  • $1.6 billion in statewide economic activity

  • $401.5 million from TCU Athletics, boosting local businesses and tourism

  • The Neeley School of Business contributes $200 million annually, preparing business leaders for Midland and beyond 

  • The Anne Burnett Marion School of Medicine drives $157.5 million in healthcare innovation annually   

On a side note, TCU said in the press release that their new Football Performance Center will be named in honor of Midlanders Mike and Brenda Harrison. The center is scheduled for completion in July of 2025.

The Riff Ram Road Show will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Midland Country Club.
