NORTH RICHLAND HILLS, Texas — The Peppa Pig theme park originally scheduled to open later this year in North Richland Hills has a new official opening date.
According to a spokesperson for the park, Peppa Pig Theme Park Dallas-Fort Worth will now open on March 1, 2025. It was originally slated to open in late 2024.
To be among the first to experience Peppa Pig Theme Park, fans are invited to secure presale tickets from Nov. 12 to Nov. 18, by signing up for the Peppa Pig Theme Park newsletter. General admission tickets will be available for purchase starting Nov. 19.
A groundbreaking ceremony was held on June 28, 2023, for a Peppa Pig Theme Park in North Richland Hills, off Boulevard 26 next door to the NRH2O Family Water Park. It's the second Peppa Pig Theme Park in the U.S. and will feature 14 acres themed after the popular children's show Peppa Pig.
The theme park will employ 100 full and part-time employees once it opens, according to a press release from Merlin Entertainments, the park's parent company. The park will host a recruitment fair ahead of opening and jobs will be posted ahead of time here.
In an interview with WFAA, North Richland Hills Economic Development Director Craig Hulse said the theme park is one of the city's biggest projects in history.
"It just was a perfect fit," Hulse said. "It's a huge score for our city, but a huge score for our region."
Hulse said there has been a high interest in nearby land and development ever since the city announced the theme park was coming to North Richland Hills.
"There has been high interest from some hospitality and services like restaurants or retail. Imagine a staycation or a family wanting to stay in the Metroplex," Hulse said.
"The opening of the park will contribute to our already strong economy, bringing more employment opportunities to young adults and other residents who are looking for jobs in this area," Former North Richland Hills Mayor Oscar Trevino said in the release earlier this year. "We could not be more thrilled about the opening of Peppa Pig Theme Park in North Richland Hills.”
The five family-friendly rides include Daddy Pig's Roller Coaster, Peppa Pig's Balloon Ride and Mr. Bull's High Striker. The park will also include themed playscapes and a water play area.
Gina Rakestraw, head of marketing with Peppa Pig theme park said construction crews are finishing up rides, landscaping, testing rides and finalizing the theme park's restaurant and cinema for its grand opening.
"We're making a lot of progress, " Rakestraw said. "I'm just so excited about all the joy we’ll bring to the families."
Peppa Pig park tickets / annual passes information
Guests will be able to choose from a variety of ticket options, including the Peppa Pig Theme Park Annual Pass, available for $99.99. This pass features unlimited admission to the theme park beginning March 1, 2025. As a bonus offer, guests who purchase an Annual Pass will have access to Merlin Entertainments' Peppa Pig World of Play at Grapevine Mills Mall as early as Nov. 12.
Park admission-only will be available starting at $27.99. Additional packages include admission along with Peppa Pig ears for $32.99.
For those seeking the ultimate Peppa Pig experience, the "My First Theme Park Package" offers admission plus exclusive park merchandise, starting at $49.99.
