MIDLAND, Texas — There will be a brand-new Christmas and holiday lighting program that will illuminate Downtown Midland, specifically around Centennial Park and Bush Convention Center, the City of Midland announced on Wednesday.
“We’re thrilled to introduce this new holiday tradition to Midland,” Midland Mayor Lori Blong said in a press release. “Our goal is to create an enchanting experience that brings joy to our community and makes Downtown Midland a vibrant hub of holiday cheer. We look forward to expanding the event in the future with more activities and entertainment for families to enjoy.”
The city says it is a festive initiative that will transform Downtown Midland into a "winter wonderland," that will bring the holiday spirit to residents and visitors.
According to the city, the program is expected to run from Thanksgiving until the new year.
