INDIANAPOLIS — The Midland Crime Stoppers won three prestigious awards at the 2024 Crime Stoppers USA National Conference, according to a press release.
They won the award for Best Social Media Campaign, Best TV Public Service Announcement and Best Print Category.
The conference was held in Indianapolis, IN. from Sept. 13 to Sept. 16.
"Our work is about empowering citizens to report crime anonymously, providing law enforcement with crucial information that helps keep the bad guys off our streets," said Angie Valenzuela, executive director of Midland Crime Stoppers. "While some tipsters are motivated by the cash rewards we offer for information leading to an arrest or case solved, so many simply want to do the right thing and hold criminals accountable for their actions."
The release stated that the awards that Midland Crime Stoppers won "reflect the outstanding work the organization has done in utilizing various platforms to engage and protect the community."
Valenzuela said these awards are not just for them.
"This national recognition belongs to the entire Midland community, who have helped make Crime Stoppers a successful and essential tool for ensuring a safer place for all of us," said Valenzuela.
