ODESSA, Texas — The Education Foundation of Odessa secured a $200,000 grant from the FMH Foundation to purchase 21 new pianos for Ector County Independent School District schools.
This aligns with EFO's ongoing project to equip all ECISD campuses with high-quality pianos, aiming for a lasting positive impact on students' musical experiences.
“We are incredibly grateful to the FMH Foundation for once again helping us provide support to the Arts in ECISD,” Education Foundation Executive Director Celeste Potter said in a press release “Through this grant, the Education Foundation is able to extend its’ reach and ensures that not only our students today have the equipment they need to be successful in the Arts, but that the students of tomorrow will benefit from this partnership as well.”
The grant will allow ECISD to finalize its piano overhaul with a mix of acoustic and digital instruments, benefiting not only ECISD students but also students from neighboring regions for rehearsals and performances.
