ODESSA, Texas — As we get into the cooler months, an Odessa woman, Mary Ellis Henson, was blessed with a new HVAC system.
It's all thanks to Mega Care Solutions, which is an air conditioning and heating service, and the "Feel The Love Program" with the Linux Foundation. They donate equipment to a well-deserved person in the community.
Henson has been living in her home since the late 90s. She was without a proper HVAC system the whole summer. She said she had different people coming in to fix her old heating and air unit but it couldn't get done until Tuesday.
"I got it and look at me. Thank to God. See, I don't do anything without God and people in this town know it. I don't play the piano without God [...] So the room I have now that I've been living in with the little air conditioner, it's my prayer room," Henson said. "God knows how to do things. So I have a keyboard back there and I play and me and God would just sing. I pray and I know he heard my prayer."
Under the "Feel The Love Program," everything is donated - including the labor and materials for the job.
