These are three 4th of July events happening in the Permian Basin

Below are some events for the 2024 4th of July holiday in Midland, Odessa and Big Spring.

ODESSA: 

The Fourth of July Fandango is coming to downtown Odessa for another round of celebration, according to the Discover Odessa website. 

This year's celebration will feature Grammy award-winning artists Brandon Davis, Los Lonely Boys and Sunny Sauceda. 

The event will also include a kids’ zone, food trucks, a car show and a fireworks spectacular to top off the night!

The schedule includes the July 4th parade starting at 10 a.m. and located at 17th St. and Texas Ave., and then the Mayor’s Procession and Bike Parade Kick Off at 5:40 p.m. What follows that is the 4th of July Fandango from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. and concludes with the Firework Spectacular Show at 10 p.m.

MIDLAND:

Midland is celebrating Independence Day with spirit by hosting this years Star-Spangled Salute! 

The event kicks off with the 61st Annual Children’s Sidewalk Parade and concludes with a firework display against the West Texas night sky. 

Throughout the day, attendees can enjoy food and beverages from local vendors, explore the family fun zone and listen to live music from local bands during the evening concert.

BIG SPRING: 

Since 1997, Big Spring has come together annually at the Comanche Trail Amphitheater to celebrate 4th of July. This vibrant event features live music, flyovers, fireworks and food.

Attendees can enjoy performances by local artists, including tributes from the Big Spring Symphony, the Young Marines and the Howard College Chorus. 

Admission is free. 

It starts on July 3 at 7:55 p.m.
