MIDLAND, Texas — A Christmas get together event was held for the local community at Shorty's Rental and Feed Saturday in Midland.
Shorty's Rental and Feed General Manager Vincent Ramirez talked about what went into putting on the event.
“The owner and I sat down together, and we wanted to put something together for the Christmas holiday just to help each other out with friends and family to give back to Midland and everybody around that helps us out,” Ramirez said.
But there was more than just free pictures with Santa, food trucks and other Christmas themed fun.
There was also a little market where local vendors in the community could come out and show off their products.
“We’ve had a good response. Everybody did show up; we had enough space, of course we could’ve had more, but we wanted to start off small this year and go from there,” Ramirez said.
For Shorty’s Rental and Feed, it’s all about giving the vendors the same opportunity for success with their businesses while also spreading the Christmas spirit.
“We wanted to give back to the community somehow," Ramirez said. "We’re really big on customer service and integrity and with the small vendors, they don’t have a storefront like we do, so we wanted to give them that option to get their name out there and be able to grow like we’ve grown.”
