ODESSA, Texas — The Odessa Police Department (OPD) is offering their condolences Friday to the Greenville Police Department and Terrell Police Department who lost one of their own in the line of duty.
Greenville Police Officer Cooper Dawson was shot and killed in a shootout on Nov. 25. The OPD was able to attend his funeral.
On Sunday, Terrell Police Officer Jacob Candanoza was shot and killed while conducting a traffic stop. According to OPD Corporal Steve LeSueur, the OPD Honor Guard plans to attend Candanoza's funeral that will occur during the week of Dec. 16.
