ODESSA, Texas — The Odessa Jackalopes owe the Ector County Coliseum between $90,000 and $95,000 as part of their hockey contract, according to Ector County Judge Dustin Fawcett.
Judge Fawcett said the Jacks are fully caught up on concession payments.
He mentioned that the Jackalopes have been dealing with money problems for a year plus.
Judge Fawcett told NewsWest 9 that the county and Jackalopes are working together to get caught up on their hockey contract payments by the end of calendar year 2024.
He also added that the county has been flexible with the Jackalopes on payments and know how much the Jackalopes mean to the community.
