While many places furlough employees during COVID-19 pandemic, Pecos is hiring

The COVID-19 pandemic isn't stopping the city from hiring CDL drivers, utility operators and more.

PECOS, Texas — Many businesses across West Texas are letting go of employees and furloughing during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The City of Pecos isn't however, and in fact they're hiring.

In the past two weeks the city has hired 10 people and is planning to hire five to 10 more in the next two months.

The city is looking for CDL drivers, a parks technician, a building maintenance person and public works utility operators.

To apply you can visit the City of Pecos website and see what jobs are currently available.

Applications can be submitted by mail or by dropping it off at City Hall.

You can also submit by scanning it in and emailing it to pecoscareers@pecostx.gov.
