CARLSBAD, N.M. - A threat to kill a student forced Carlsbad High School into lockdown.
Police say the guy behind it was already on campus waiting to speak to the principal.
We're told he's a former student and officers didn't find any weapons on him.
Apparently his younger sister told him that another classmate was going to beat her up.
Police say the brother stopped at the student's home before heading to the high school.
The mother answered the door and claims he threatened to kill her son.
The brother is the girl's legal guardian and told officers he went to the school to notify them about the threats against his sister.
