CARLSBAD, N.M. - The first murder of the New Year has Carlsbad Police searching for the killer.
On Sunday, police found the body of 39-year-old Kelly Tiller inside a home.
Tiller was stabbed to death.
Agents with the Pecos Valley Drug Task Force had gone to the house looking for someone else and that's when they found Tiller.
He was supposed to be sentenced next week after being found guilty of drug possession.
