MIDLAND COUNTY, Texas — Some discussion at Tuesday's Midland County Commissioners' Court meeting revolved around the Midland County Horseshoe Arena and how some changes are coming.
People will be able to buy concessions at the arena again.
Horseshoe Director Ken Olson pitched the change to the commissioners as another revenue stream for the county.
However, Olson said they'll be selective on which events at the Horseshoe will have concessions.
"We'll look at what each event is going to bring, how many will attend each event, probably not those private events, weddings [or] quince's, that kinda thing," Olson said. "But like gunshows, graduations [or] Comic Con, those larger scale bigger events."
It will cost about $20,000 for initial staff and concessions expenses.
The Horseshoe is also working to find a credit card processor for its events as well.
