ECTOR COUNTY, Texas — Big projects and big moves are happening within Ector County ISD. On Tuesday night, the ECISD Board of Trustees gave bond updates on several projects that are moving along.
The board officially accepted the $2.8 million property donated by Grow Odessa to build the new Career and Technical Education facility around Tripp Ave.
"The CTE committee, the task force, continues to work so that great momentum with working with our architects. Middle school, lots of updates there, getting ready to close on the middle school property on Tripp Avenue, about 42 acres worth of property. We took a field trip to looked at prototypes in the Dallas area and so we are making progress there," said ECISD Superintendent Dr. Scott Muri.
Part of the bond also includes tennis courts for the middle schools which have been repaved.
The board also voted to approve a retention bonus for their educators. That means staff will have a 3% raise for the next school year.
