MIDLAND, Texas — The Safe Place of the Permian Basin is getting ready for another big Sock Drive.
They're asking for new, unused socks, undergarments or other essentials to be given out to those taking refuge at their shelter.
"A lot of times our clients come here with the clothes on their back as well as their children. They're just looking for a safe place to be overnight, but that could turn into three months," Safe Place of the Permian Basin's Director of Development Leeanna Good said. "Anything we get this Christmas, whether it is socks, undergarments or pajamas, that'll spread out throughout the year."
