16-year-old to be tried as an adult in Ector County murder case

16-year-old Adrianna Vincent and 19-year-old Brayden Roupp have been charged with the murder of 65-year-old James Francis Johnson.
18-year-old Brayden Roupp and a 16-year-old female were arrested and charged on scene with murder.

ECTOR COUNTY, Texas — Sixteen-year-old Adrianna Vincent will be tried as an adult in the murder of 65-year-old James Francis Johnson back on June 14 in Ector County, according to Ector County Sheriff Mike Griffis. 

She was not alone in this. 19-year-old Brayden Roupp has been charged and indicted for the murder of Johnson.

According to Ector County jail records, Adrianna was booked for murder, tampering with evidence and possession of a controlled substance Thursday. She faces a $500,000 bond for the murder charge, a $20,000 bond for the tampering with evidence charge and a $10,000 bond for the possession charge.

Sheriff Griffis told NewsWest 9 that Adrianna will be transferred to adult jail upon her 17th birthday which he was told is in a week or two.
