MIDLAND, Texas — A 22-year-old woman has died after a "drive-by shooting" Saturday night, according to the Midland Police Department (MPD).
MPD responded to a shots fired call around 11:33 p.m. that took place in the 100 block of Howard Drive.
When police arrived on the scene, they found a 22-year-old dead Midland woman in the driver's seat of a parked vehicle.
According to MPD, evidence at the scene and witness statements indicated that the woman died in a "drive-by shooting."
MPD stated that suspected gunman or gunmen have not been identified.
Next of kin has not been identified.
MPD is still investigating this case.
