ODESSA, Texas — Four kids in a car shooting at people with BB guns and paintball guns in Woodson Park led to three schools nearby going in a Secure, according to Mike Adkins with the Ector County Independent School District (ECISD).
Adkins said ECISD received a call Thursday of a car shooting at people in Woodson Park. Multiple agencies arrived to the scene and found four kids in a car using BB guns and paintball guns to shoot at people in the park.
According to Adkins, Blackshear Elementary, Milam Elementary and Carver Early Education Center were put in a Secure during the incident which happened near the end of the school day.
"We kept all students and staff inside the building until it was cleared - about 15 minutes," Adkins said.
According to Adkins, these are the charges coming from ECISD:
- The driver, 19-year-old Aracely Alonzo, Class C Citation for No Proof of Insurance
- A passenger, who is a minor, Felony 2 charge for possession of a controlled substance PG2 THC
Adkins said the Odessa Police Department may add additional charges.
