MIDLAND, Texas — A 53-year-old Midland woman has been arrested in connection to an Aug. 25 criminal negligent homicide case, according to Sergeant Thomas Gray with the Midland County Sheriff's Office (MCSO).
MCSO said an elderly individual arrived at Midland Memorial Hospital (MMH) with a multitude of injuries.
The elderly individual has since passed away, and investigators determined that Paula Stiles is responsible. According to the news release, Stiles was the elderly person's caretaker and "had not provided the individual with any care for a length of time prior to being taken to MMH."
An arrest warrant was issued for Stiles for criminally negligent homicide. Stiles was arrested Tuesday and has been booked into the Midland County Central Detention Center.
