Pretrial pushed back for Alexee Trevizo, charged with first degree murder of her newborn baby

New Mexico court case records show that her pretrial has been pushed back from July 22 to August 6.

ARTESIA, N.M. — Alexee Trevizo has court dates currently set for August for charges of murder in the first degree, also known as abuse of a child resulting in death and tampering with evidence. According to New Mexico court case records, on July 12, her pretrial date was changed from July 22 to August 6.

If you may remember, on January 27, 2023, the Artesia Police Department were called to the Artesia General Hospital Emergency Room and once they arrived, began an investigation about an unattended newborn baby.

After performing an autopsy on March 28, 2023, investigators were able to determine the death to be homicide.

Formal charges were filed on May 10, 2023, after a criminal complaint was approved. She was charged with first degree murder and tampering with evidence.

According to New Mexico court documents, Trevizo's jury trial is currently set at August 26.
