BIG SPRING, Texas — The Big Spring Police Department tells NewsWest 9 that they are investigating a shots fired call in the 600 block of State St. on Tuesday, which was a couple blocks away from a high school baseball game between Fort Stockton and Big Spring.

According to Big Spring Crimestoppers, the incident happened around 9 p.m. and that numerous shots were fired at the direction of two residences and vehicles.

"One of the residence occupants did not wish to cooperate with law enforcement though the other did but did not give any information as to who would have committed this crime," Big Spring Crimestoppers said in a post.

In a video sent to NewsWest 9, alleged gunshots were heard during the high school baseball game. While viewing the video, it appeared that some players and an umpire were spooked by the alleged gunshots. After the alleged shots were fired, players began to clear the field.

No injuries were reported due to the incident.

BSPD is looking into the matter and is asking anyone with information on the incident to call CrimeStoppers at 432-263-8477.
