ALPINE, Texas — An Alpine man has been arrested for "continuous family violence and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle," according to an Alpine Police Department (APD) news release.
On Saturday around 7 p.m., officers received a report about a disturbance in the 900 block of East Gallego Avenue.
The officers arrived on sight, assessed the situation and determined an assault had occurred.
According to APD, the suspect of the assault, identified as 37-year-old Justin Vega Lara of Alpine, had left the scene and took the victim's vehicle without permission.
Two arrest warrants were put out for him around 6:19 p.m. on Tuesday.
According to APD, officers located Lara at a house in the 1300 Block of East Gallego. Lara was later arrested for the two warrants without incident.
APD stated that Lara was arrested on charges of "continuous family violence," a third-degree felony, and "unauthorized use of a motor vehicle," a state jail felony.
