MIDLAND, Texas — Former Midland youth minister Corey White was sentenced to eight years in prison Friday for one count of knowingly accessing images of child porn with visual depictions of a minor.
White was indicted by a grand jury of this charge in November 2023 and pleaded not guilty at the time, which set up a jury trial for Jan. 29.
However, he pleaded guilty in early January of the child porn charge.
Now, White will be behind prison bars for eight years.
White was a youth minister at Redeemer Midland, according to members of the congregation in early January.
