HOWARD COUNTY, Texas — According to a Facebook post, Howard County Sheriff's Office have investigated a school threat against Coahoma schools.
On Thursday, HCSO received information about the online threat.
The threat would have been when the students returned from Christmas break.
Investigators were able to quickly identify a suspect and after interviewing them, "it is believed the person was not intending to carry out the threat."
It was also revealed the suspect doesn't live in Texas.
Investigators are preparing a case to present to prosecutors.
"We do take this and any threat against our schools serious," the Sheriff's Office said in the post. "We will provide extra personnel to our schools when they return from break to ensure our kids are safe."
