ODESSA, Texas — James "Boobie" Miles has received 13 years in prison after being found guilty by a jury on Oct. 16 for failure to register as a sex offender.
Miles was arrested back in January of this year in Taylor County. Miles has had a history with misdemeanors and felonies in the past. Miles is most famously known as a member on the famous Permian football team that was featured in the popular book turned movie, "Friday Night Lights".
Miles has another trial date awaiting him as he faces more charges from an arrest back in March of this year where he was charged with assaulting a family member by impeding breathing or circulation.
