LAMESA, Texas — UPDATE: According to the Lamesa Police Department, wanted man Marty Guerrero has been captured.
On Saturday at about 5:30 a.m., LPD responded to the 700 block of N 6th for a possible burglary in progress.
When they got there, they discovered Marty Guererro, wanted since Tuesday, inside a residence.
A perimeter was established and additional units were called, including the Midland Police Department SWAT team.
After a short standoff and deployment of non-lethal chemical agents, Guerrero was taken into custody with no injuries.
He was taken to the Dawson County Detention Center where he is currently held.

The Lamesa Police Department is looking for a man who is considered armed and dangerous and is wanted for multiple charges.
According to a press release by Lamesa PD, officers responded to the 1500 block of S Ave. N at 2:20 p.m. Tuesday because of suspicious activity at a residence.
Once officers arrived at the residence, they found Marty Guerrero, wanted for burglary, theft of property and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.
Lamesa Police tried to make contact with Guerrero but he pulled out a handgun and shot at the officers.
Guerrero was able to escape the officers through a window and Lamesa Police lost sight of him.

Guerrero is considered armed and dangerous, according to Lamesa Police.
