BREWSTER COUNTY, Texas — After conducting a traffic stop in Brewster County, BCSO arrested a man who had four people who allegedly entered the country illegally as his passengers.
According to Brewster County Sheriff's Office, on Friday night on Highway 118 near Elephant Mountain, Timothy Aaron Settle and five other passengers were stopped.
It was determined by officials that four of those passengers had entered the country illegally from Mexico.
Those four were referred to US Border Agents for processing. The fifth passenger, a US citizen, was arrested and released pending further investigation.
Settle was arrested and booked into the Brewster County Jail for four counts of smuggling of persons.
