ODESSA, Texas — A man was arrested Tuesday for recklessly driving in the 300 block of West County Road and crashing into a security post at Odessa Fire and Rescue Station 1, according to the City of Odessa's Facebook page. The man, identified as 23-year-old Dorian Angel Gutierrez, told police that "someone was chasing him with a gun".
The incident happened at 1:15 p.m.
Odessa Police Department officers responded to the scene and found out that Gutierrez allegedly stole a white pickup truck that was towing a trailer.
According to the Facebook post, Gutierrez drove the vehicle through multiple roadways and eventually crashed into a security post at Odessa Fire and Rescue Station 1.
Gutierrez was arrested for reckless driving and unlawful use of a vehicle. He is being investigated for driving while intoxicated.
The investigation is ongoing.
