PECOS COUNTY, Texas — The Pecos County Sheriff's Office said on Facebook that on Sunday morning they collaborated with the Texas Department of Public Safety and Brewster County authorities to apprehend a suspected human smuggler following a high-speed pursuit that originated in Brewster County.
The pursuit started within Brewster County and continued eastward onto I-10 from Highway 67 south.
Pecos County deputies successfully deployed spike strips, slowing down and ultimately stopping a man driving a Honda Civic.
The driver was arrested for human smuggling after authorities discovered two undocumented immigrants in the Honda Civic.
This case has now turned over to the Brewster County Sheriff's Office.
