MIDLAND, Texas — Midland Police have arrested Zachary Gatewood, 35, on Monday on charges of cruelty to a dog named Bruno who was found in a dumpster with a broken leg near the Sante Fe Apartments in Midland on Labor Day.
After airing our story on Bruno in late September, the seller, who took care of Bruno and even offered a $1,000 reward for any information leading to an arrest, reached out to Midland Police.
Then, after further investigation by MPD, an arrest was made for Gatewood at 10 p.m. on Oct. 9.
