ODESSA, Texas — A man identified as Ray Acosta was sentenced to 12 years in the Texas Department of Corrections for possession of fentanyl on Nov. 6, according to an Ector County District Attorney Facebook post.
Acosta was caught having five grams of fentanyl in his possession.
According to the post, Mr. Acosta was also on a federal supervised release for a previous offense where he allegedly attempted to distribute 28 grams and possibly more of crack cocaine.
This crime extended his sentence for an additional 9 months in federal prison.
