ODESSA, Texas — Max Reyes, the City of Odessa's parks and recreation director, was arrested for official oppression Thursday morning, according to Odessa arrest records.
Ector County Sheriff Mike Griffis told NewsWest 9 that a captain told him that Reyes turned himself in.
During the week of Nov. 11, the City of Odessa told the media that Reyes was put on administrative leave.
The city said Reyes' case has been sent to the district attorney's office for "Judicial Review."
Reyes was booked on a $1,500 surety bond and bonded out at 2:09 p.m. Thursday, according to Sheriff Griffis.
