MIDLAND, Texas — The Midland County Sheriff's Office has provided an update on the multi-agency investigation on South Midkiff that took place on the morning of Aug. 1.
According to a release, MCSO conducted an operation involving multiple agencies at the 1000 block of South Midkiff. According to Google Maps, the address is an Extended Stay hotel that is temporarily closed.
The operation's mission was to locate and arrest any trespassers on the property.
MCSO says there was a probability of stolen property being found.
Due to the massive size of the property, MCSO and Midland Police Department SWAT teams were used to clear the property of any trespassers.
Three people were located and arrested inside the hotel.
47-year-old Richard James Catlin Jr., 61-year-old Dennis Denzer and 58-year-old Javier Mendoza-Miramontes were all arrested and charged with criminal trespassing. Miramontes also had a warrant for parole violation he was booked in on.
