MIDLAND, Texas — The Midland Police Department is investigating an alleged shooting that took place at the Meridian Apartment Homes at 5:55 a.m. on Monday, according to a media release from the City of Midland.
When officers arrived at the apartment complex, they witnessed a man running to a nearby convenience store on Briarwood Ave. According to the city, that man is believed to be a gunshot victim. He was transported to a hospital to be treated and was later released.
The City of Midland says the gunshot victim declined to press charges. However, because of a possible narcotics charge, investigators are looking for two suspects that are traveling in a white pickup. The weapon used in the alleged crime was a 380 semiautomatic pistol.
During the investigation, MPD arrested a person not involved in the shooting for a narcotics charge.
The suspects have not been identified, according to the city.
The investigation is ongoing.
