ANDREWS, Texas — Multiple injured in officer-involved shooting in Andrews on Friday while authorities were trying to serve an indecency with a child warrant, according to a joint release from the Andrews Police Department and the Andrews County Sheriff's Office.
The altercation happened around 4:45 p.m in the 900 block of S.W. 5th St.
According to the release, two ACSO deputies and a officer from the Andrews Fire Marshall's Office was injured. All three were taken to a hospital for treatment and one had to be air lifted.
All three have been placed on administrative leave pending further investigation.
The release stated that no other residents in the home were injured.
The Texas Rangers are investigating.
The case is ongoing and active.
No word on the suspect's condition.
