Renewed interest sparked in 2018 missing person's case

Caitlin Denison was last seen at a Walmart on North Midland Drive, was 'afraid for her life'

MIDLAND, Texas — A new development in a missing persons case has captured the attention of law encorcement.

Since 2018, the case of Caitlin Denison has gone unsolved — she was last seen on Jan. 10, 2018.  

However, according to Texas Department Of Public Safety (DPS) Media Communications, Sgt. Steven Blanco, "there is renewed interest in the case based on new information gathered by the Texas Rangers."  

With new information six years later, it is thought that the public may have information to solve the case.

According to a DPS news release, Denison had met a man on Jan. 9, 2018, and had traveled together by way of Reno, NV to the Permian Basin.   It was on the following day, that Denison would be seen for the last time, at a Walmart on North Midland Drive.   Family and friends of Denison were told that the then 19-year-old was "afraid for her life."  

The man she was last seen with "was a known truck driver in the Permian Basin oil industry," it is believed that the night before her disappearance, Denison had stayed with the male in his RV.

Denison is described as a 5-foot-5 blonde female,  last seen wearing a dark shirt, black leggings, and black boots.

Residents with information can call Crime Stoppers Hotline 1-800-225-TIPS.  There is a $3,000 reward for anyone with information, that results in the subsequent arrest of the person, or individuals responsible.
