Alpine Police Department investigating stabbing case involving 16-year-old suspect

The 21-year-old victim was airlifted to a hospital in El Paso to be treated for his wounds.

ALPINE, Texas — The Alpine Police Department have posted on their Facebook that on June 16, Alpine police officers were dispatched to Big Bend Regional Hospital due to an altercation with a 21-year-old man who had sustained multiple stab wounds. 

It was reported that officers spoke briefly with the stabbing victim and in that discussion, discovered that that the incident happened at 2000 block of Peach Tree Circle where they were able to identify a suspect, a 16-year-old male. 

The 16-year-old is currently awaiting juvenile proceedings. 

The victim was airlifted to a hospital in El Paso to be treated for his wounds. 

Alpine officers are still investigating the case. No further information was provided.
